Now that camping season has come to an end, you’re winterizing your camper and preparing for it to be stored, have you taken a look at your roof? After the camping season it’s crucial to get your camper inspected and part of the inspection should include your camper roof. Make sure to check for any tears, dents or anything else out of the ordinary. It it looks good, well great! Give the top a good cleaning and get it ready for the winter! However, if you do see some things that may need repair, it’s best to check out what we have in store for you before you tuck your camper away for the winter.

What is your roof made of?
- Rubber – This is probably the most common material. There are two different types: Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer and Thermal Poly Olefin. We have great rubber roof cleaner you can use!
- Fiberglass – Although this is a bit more rare in comparison to rubber roofs, they are usually lower maintenance.
- Aluminum – This is by far the most rarest material used. Like fiberglass, aluminum will add weight to your camper and it is generally low maintenance.
Other things you should consider based off of the material of your roof may be caulking, sealant, liquid roof and so on. After you have things like this handled, maybe you should get a cover and store your camper. Camper’s aren’t cheap and the way you store your camper during the colder months can make a big difference on how it is opened up during the next camping season. If done the right way, you could save some money from damages/repairs in the long run too!
