When packing for your next camping trip, it’s best to put together a “secret box” that contains rainy day activities for the entire family. Hopefully, you won’t need it, but being prepared is key. Below are some ideas you may find helpful:
- Board games
- Puzzles
- Playing cards
- Books
- Play Movies or go to the Movie theatre
- Pads of paper and pencils for games like Hangman, Tic Tac Toe, etc.
- Water balloons – There’s nothing like a good water balloon fight in the rain. You can even put dye in the balloons for extra fun. Best to pack old clothes for this game. Use your judgement on the weather before sending your kids outside.
- Charades
- Arts and Crafts
- Visit a local attraction
Adults generally have no trouble filling a rainy day with activities. Enjoying a nice nap, or reading a good book are often on the top of the list.
