Summer is almost here and camping season is creeping up! We’re so excited for this beautiful season to begin, to make memories and to enjoy the camping experience with others. Part of camping is making sure what you’re camping in is safe enough to tow and sleep in. We want to help make sure you feel comfortable and safe enough to travel with your camper. So, please read these tips that have been gathered.
- It is recommended that you service your camper’s heating and cooling systems. You would normally do this for an A/C or a heater in your home so why wouldn’t you do this for your camper? You should maintain some things more frequently than others such as, replacing filters, cleaning connections and vents. An annual thing you should have done is having your heating and cooling systems professionally looked at. - Preventative measures are always the best way to go! You can save in the long run with frequent cleaning and checking things over. Make sure to wipe down your slides, check your awning, look at your walls and ceiling, clean your roof, and so on.
- Winterize your camper and put it in storage! When you’re not camping and when the seasons change, putting your camper in a place where it stays protected and it has received a winterization is a great step. This step will allow your camper to almost hibernate and in a safe way. It will not age as quickly and opening it back up will be more smooth for you.
