Before you inspect your roof, check for damages, leaks, and so on, and make sure you have enough support. Is it strong enough to hold you? Is there a ladder attached? Will you need to make a service appointment instead? Make sure your safety is top priority. Otherwise, using a piece of plywood can help distribute your weight a little more if you’re going to the roof.

Know what kind of roof you have (rubber, fiberglass, aluminium, etc.). This is very important and will determine what products you can or cannot use. Some ingredients can cause damage to certain roofs which can cause rain/melted snow to enter the seams easily.

• Clean your roof – This is the first and most important step! Make sure to clean off all the dirt and scrub any old roof material or debris. Just be careful to not make any further tears or damages to the camper.
• Ask us what sealants are the most compatible to your roof – Make sure to seal everything necessary on your roof! • Tears – If there are rips or tears in your camper roof, you may need fiberglass repair tape as well. Give us a call or text and we can help determine this!
